"I started my love of art with a box of crayons and a coloring book. During WW2 paper was not wasted, so I traced the coloring book pictures. I loved the art class (7th grade at Delta Jr High School and Highschool. I went to college at Ottawa University in Kansas. My Dad told me not to waste my money on art class. However, I still liked all forms of art but didn't spend the money. I went to Wisconsin to work at the American Baptist Assembly. I waited on tables. It was a wonderful place and much fun. More importantly I met George "Fritz" Vinz who also worked there. We were married there the second summer..."

"I am a 4th generation Colorado native and a retired nurse educator living in Cedaredge, for the last 20 years. I was one of the first girls allowed to enroll in wood shop and auto mechanic classes in high school. I make charcuterie boards, cutting boards, cribbage boards, and chess boards from repurposed wood. You will find me at local craft fairs under the name of C-Boards. The smaller chess pieces are made from resin with different shades of sawdust... "
